Now Playing: Holocene by Bon Iver.

So I’ve been apprehensive about listening to the new Bon Iver album. I know it is stupid, however, I was so in love with For Emma Forever ago, and I didn’t want to be disappointed. After Bon Iver became overly exposed suddenly bands like Fleet Foxes, Mumford and Sons, and various other folky bands were trending all over twitter, I got a little turned off. (YES, I KNOW IT IS COMPLETLY HIPSTER OF ME TO SAY THIS, DON’T JUDGE). However, Bon Iver still blows my mind. I wouldn’t say that this album is astoundingly different from For Emma, however it is astoundingly beautiful. Bon Iver continues to make breathtaking, dreamy music, that sweeps me off into wonderland every time I listen. I love the use of french horn, clarinet and percussion, along with their familiar harmonies on this song. It’s truly perfection.
